Quick shot from the rock n’ roll depths of Central Square… Want to be in a music video?
Then head over to T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge Thursday night as the Lights Out shoot their new video for “Gottagetouttahere,” presumably the first single off their debut album set for release this fall, “Color Machine.” It’s being directed by Circumvision’s Mike Gill of The Murder Mile and formerly the Damn Personals, who has already shot pieces for Damone, Wheat, Barnicle, Far From Finished, Mark Lind & the Unloved, Ducky Boys and others.
A four-piece rock band with a sound much bigger, the Lights Out put on one of the best live shows in the city, so Hotline is stoked their new music video will have some sort of live component to it. Last year’s “Heist” EP got more than a few spins over here at Hotline HQ (that dirty, disorganized desk near the window facing the Mass Pike), and “Color Machine” should build on the band’s just-a-bit-more-rocking-to-be-dubbed-indi-rock sound, which has gone over well at both upturned-nose hipster dance parties and boozy, bad-lit rock shows.
Get in the video, go get famous.
