PROJECT BOOKLET Please take a look at our project booklet, which provides a great summary of the conceptual design process, and provides details of several design concepts:
If you would like a copy mailed to you, or others you think should receive it, please email the postal addresses.
Western Avenue is scheduled to be fully reconstructed beginning in summer 2011. The underground stormwater and sewer system, roadway, and sidewalks will all be replaced from Franklin Street to Memorial Drive. The redesign considers all street users: walkers, bicyclists, bus riders, and drivers. The public process began in January 2010. Neighborhood walks and meetings have been held. An advisory committee has been meeting regularly. This is the third community-wide public meeting.
More information on the project is available at http://westernavenue.info.
