Back by popular demand, a live music collaborative concert with magical composer Erik Lindgren and members of the gifted faculty of The Dance Complex. Celebrating eighteen years and welcoming everyone to the newly (finally) fully accessible Odd Fellows Hall.

It’s a Living is The Frankenstein/Goli Consort

meets The Dance Complex choreographers.

Pianist/composer Erik Lindgren will perform a program of original contemporary music with Valerie Thompson on cello, Vessela Stoyanova on marimba, and flutist Daniel Epstein.  Expect to hear some nouveau tango, Neo-Neo-Classicism, rollicking virtuosity, plus amusing chamber works for the modern era.   Goli has been described as the “duo of misfit classical musicians with an appetite for world music that has cut its teeth in rock bands, world folk ensembles, symphony orchestras and the occasional free improv outlet.”

The dance premiers include a duet by Daniel McCusker for Brian Crabtree and Audra Carabetta and a quartet created by Diane Arvanites & Tommy Neblett for their Prometheus Elders. Margot Parsons will offer two of her works, joining Rozann Kraus’ septet unSuitable, and new pieces by Danny Swain and the Hips on Fire duo, Cristina Pujol and Seemore Johnson (Sunday only).

The Dance Complex is supported, in part, by the MCC and by the generosity of the teachers, staff, board and volunteers.
